Meet our Bloggers:
Kristen Scharrenberg

Kristen has worked for fifteen years in the human services field, with individuals from all walks of life. She started out working with at-risk youth in the foster care system, then transitioned to working with adults attending in-patient drug and alcohol treatment. She then found her passion assisting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, acquired brain injuries, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental and intellectual disabilities, to overcome obstacles and lead more independent lives. Over the last couple of years, Kristen has felt God calling her in a new direction, and He has reignited a passion to walk with and guide others in their faith. After experiencing Penny’s healing ministry firsthand, she began earnestly asking and seeking to be able to be a part of it in some way. God has answered, and she is now actively participating in the healing of others. Personally, Kristen has experienced marriage and divorce, the challenges and rewards of blended families, the impacts of unhealthy relationships, and the joys and struggles of being a mom to her two adopted sons.

Penny Schulz

Penny has been in various forms of ministry for over 30 years.  She started out serving in the medical field in Radiology, Ultrasound, Vascular, and Mammography.  During that time God also called her to a music ministry where she touched the hearts and lives of many, including performing at the Hughes Brother’s Theater in Branson. She also produced her first CD, “In His Time.”  For the last 14 years she has been shepherding various denominational congregations in southeast and central Nebraska.  In 2011 she started a healing ministry, which encompasses all aspects of the mind, body, and soul, helping people heal and experience the wholeness that God originally intended for all. She currently lives on a farm with her husband of 28 years, three children, and various pets.
