Our Mission and Purpose

Live Life in the Spirit is a Christian vodcast and blog created to help people grow in faith, truth, and freedom through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We are women of faith, unafraid of truth, grounded in the Word, and not here to sugarcoat reality. We believe God is still speaking, still revealing truth, and still calling His people to wake up, dig deeper, and live with discernment in a world that is growing increasingly deceptive.
This ministry is for those who know there is more going on than what we see on the surface — spiritually, culturally, and globally. We are not afraid to ask hard questions, confront uncomfortable topics, or explore issues many avoid, always through the lens of Scripture and a biblical worldview.
We believe the Bible speaks to every area of life, including the topics that make people uncomfortable or spark controversy. From spiritual warfare and the fallen realm to the influence of darkness in the world, to cultural, political, and global movements that shape our future — God’s Word is not silent.
Our heart is to encourage believers to:
* Know Scripture, not just verses
* Walk in discernment, not fear
* Obey God even when truth is unpopular
* Trust the Holy Spirit to lead, reveal, and correct
This is not about sensationalism, speculation, or conspiracy theories. It’s about testing everything against Scripture and learning to see the world through God’s truth instead of the world’s narrative. Whether you are new to faith, curious but cautious, or a seasoned believer who has studied deeply for years, our goal is the same: to help you understand God’s Word more clearly and recognize how it applies to the world we are living in right now. We often end our vodcasts with the same message, and it’s one we firmly believe: “Once you know, you can’t unknow. What you choose to do with the information is up to you — but you can’t say we didn’t tell you.”
Why Should You Care?
We are living in a time when deception is no longer subtle — it is bold, normalized, and often celebrated. Many believers sense that something is off, but don’t always know how to articulate it or where to turn for biblical clarity.
Topics like spiritual warfare, the Book of Revelation, aliens, Nephilim, stargates, portals, global power structures, one-world systems, and even questions about creation, dinosaurs, the flood are often dismissed, mocked, or avoided — even though Scripture provides important context for understanding them. We believe ignoring these conversations does not protect the church; it weakens it.
With that let’s Meet the Voices Behind Live Life in the Spirit

Penny Schulz is a pastor, teacher, and lifelong student of God’s Word whose faith was formed early and forged through decades of obedience, service, and perseverance. Born and raised in central Nebraska, Penny grew up in a hardworking, God-fearing home where Scripture, church involvement, and serving others were simply a way of life. She often jokes that she had a drug problem growing up…she was drug to church, choir, youth group, Sunday School, women’s groups. Even when the doors of the church were not open, her folks drug her there. Music was also a huge part of her life, starting with her grandfather. Penny and her mom spent years singing together for church and competing in music competitions.
After high school, Penny began pursuing a career in radiology and learned mammography, ultrasound, and Doppler. She went on to build her own business as a traveling radiologic technologist, serving hospitals across the region. Even then, she found herself drawn into pastoral care — ministering to people not just through medical skill, but through prayer, listening, and compassion.
In college, Penny was a trumpeter of the Nebraska Cornhusker Marching Band, a lifelong dream and culmination of years of hard work and dedication in music. God continued to expand Penny’s calling through music ministry, where she touched countless lives through worship, teaching, and performance, including appearances at the Hughes Brothers Theatre in Branson. She later produced her first CD, *In His Time*, and traveled widely to serve congregations, women’s groups, and churches through both music and the Word.
God called Penny from pastoral care and a successful music ministry to the role of pastor. She graduated from Cotner College in the Education for Lay Ministry Program, and for the past twenty years, Penny has faithfully shepherded congregations across central and southeast Nebraska. In 2011, God opened the door for a healing ministry that brought together her medical knowledge, spiritual knowledge, and counseling into a ministry that focuses on wholeness of mind, body, and soul. One of her gifts is freeing people from spiritual oppression, spiritual warfare, and generational curses. She has a deep belief that God cares about every aspect of our lives and desires restoration, not just survival.
Penny has been married to her husband John for over thirty-one years, and together they have navigated the joys and hardships of life, business ownership, ministry, and raising three daughters. In recent years, John’s serious traumatic brain injury has reshaped much of their daily life, deepening Penny’s understanding of suffering, perseverance, and a hope that clings to God even when answers are delayed. Through it all, Penny’s faith, humor, joy, and unwavering trust in God’s faithfulness have remained steady. As she always says, “this too shall pass.” Known for her wisdom, pragmatism, and fierce love for people, Penny is both grounded and bold — unafraid to address deception, spiritual warfare, and difficult truths, yet always pointing back to the grace, salvation, hope and reconciliation found in Jesus Christ. Her heart is to help people discern truth from lies, grow in their relationship with God, and walk confidently led by the Holy Spirit.

Kristen Kipper is a listener, peacemaker, and lifelong learner from the Midwest. Born in Kansas and raised in Nebraska, faith in God, the importance of family and friends, and a love of the Chiefs were instilled from a young age. Her parents modeled being involved in the church and serving others, and her mom passed down a love of band and the written word that she carries to this day.
Kristen started her college career at Kansas State University, where she marched in the rival Wildcat Marching Band (go State!). During college, Kristen began her own personal battle with mental health and learned how to lean on God a little more. After several moves (one all the way to Alaska), a semester of whooping cough, a smattering of unexpected life experiences, Kristen graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (and now she says go Huskers!).
Kristen brings together a deep well of lived experience, professional insight, and a growing call to walk alongside others in faith and healing. For over fifteen years, she has worked in the human services field with individuals from all walks of life. Her work began with at-risk youth in the foster care system and later expanded into supporting adults in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs.
Over time, Kristen found her passion in helping individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, acquired brain injuries, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental and intellectual disabilities overcome obstacles and move toward more independent, fulfilling lives. Through these roles, she developed a steady presence in crisis, a compassionate listening ear, and a deep respect for each person’s dignity and worth.
Kristen’s professional journey has been shaped by her personal one. She has experienced marriage and divorce, the challenges and rewards of blended families, the impact of unhealthy relationships, and the profound joy and responsibility of being a mom to her two adopted sons. These experiences have refined her empathy, strengthened her resilience, and deepened her dependence on God.
While Kristen’s faith has always been a foundation of her life, in recent years she has felt God clearly calling her in a new direction. He has reignited a passion not only to know Him more deeply, but to walk with and help guide others in their faith journeys. After experiencing Penny’s healing ministry firsthand, Kristen began earnestly praying and seeking how God might allow her to be part of that work. God answered that prayer, and today Kristen is actively involved in supporting the healing of others—mind, body, and spirit.
Kristen is passionate about helping others understand how spiritual, emotional, and mental health are connected — and how true freedom is found in surrendering every part of life to God. She believes no one is beyond redemption, no story is finished, and God is always at work — even when we can’t see it yet.
